When the VisualCron client is started, an initial login (to server) window is opened. You need to login because the server may be accessed also from other computers.
If you haven't defined any connection, VisualCron will use the default server login parameters. The Connection "admin@localhost:16444", Server "localhost" (your computer), Port "16444", Username "admin" and Password (blank) will be used. For security reasons, you should change this after login in the main menu Manage -> Change username and password tab.
Use compression When connecting remotely to another server with a slower connection, for example Bluetooth or a mobile (GPRS), you want to reduce the traffic amount between the client and the server. When using compression, which is reached from the login screen, the communication is compressed with standard Gzip compression. Overall the traffic is reduced to 1/3 compared to not using compression. Using compression requires somewhat more CPU load. Compression is only needed/recommended when using VisualCron remotely with a slower connection.
Autoconnect to this account Mark this checkbox if you want to connect automatically by the next client startup without showing the Connection options dialog.
Timeout in seconds You can specify a connection timeout. Default is 60 seconds. If you experience that it takes longer timer to connect then increase the value.
If you want to add new connections, for example to other computers, you select the main menu File -> Manage servers option.
When the VisualCron client is started, the login settings are found in:
